Designated Heritage Property Grant

Property owners can apply for matching funding to support the conservation, repair, or restoration of a designated heritage property. Projects must show how they are using best practices to protect and conserve a heritage property.

Funding amount

  • Grants from $500 to 5,000 are available for eligible work to conserve heritage attributes such as masonry, windows and architectural features including porches, verandas or bargeboard
  • Grants from $500 to $10,000 are available for the repair or restoration of structural elements such as structural members, foundations and chimneys
  • Grants up to $25,000 may also be available for special projects. For this level of funding your project must be approved by heritage staff before applying and include multiple components (such as conserving heritage attributes and restoring structural elements)

Review the Program Guidelines for more information on eligible properties and projects.
