May 7 – Changes to Lawn Rules and Tree Responsibilities
Join us on May 7. Presented by City of Mississauga (Property Standards Investigation & Enforcement, Forestry).
This session will explain recent changes to the City’s former “Tall Grass and Nuisance Weeds Bylaw,” now known as the “Turfgrass and Prohibited Plant Species Bylaw.” City staff from Property Standards Investigation and Enforcement and Forestry will provide a clear overview of what property owners need to know about maintaining lawns and controlling prohibited plants. They will also cover common questions about trees on private property, including what to do if a tree or large branch falls due to wind or storms, and who is responsible for cleanup and safety.

This session will focus on understanding and mitigating the risks of being in and around water, creating a safe swimming environment, and how to prevent incidents of drowning. The session will also touch on fall prevention around pools and showers, and what to do if you unintentionally fall into water and need help.
May 28 – Nurturing Your Inner Garden: Emotional Well-Being & Self-Care for a Fulfilling Life
