Our fitness centres may be closed but your workouts can continue. Stay active and join us for fun and exciting virtual fitness classes with one of our qualified instructors right at home. Try one class or join us for all, there’s something for everyone from beginners to advanced fitness levels.

We’d like to introduce you to some of our amazing staff who will keep you moving while we’re away from our fitness centres. Also, check out the schedule as classes will be added weekly. Visit us often to see what’s new.

Tyler is the Fitness Supervisor at the River Grove community centre.  He is a certified Personal Trainer and specializes in Boot Camp Workouts.  He loves sharing his passion for fitness with his community, friends and family. Tyler truly believes balance is the key to a long healthy life and is ready to bring the sweat to your next workout.

 

Sophie is the Fitness Supervisor at Carmen Corbasson and Clarkson Community Centre, and the Mississauga Senior Centre. She is a certified Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor and Exercise Nutritionist with Precision Nutrition. She has worked in recreation for 19 + years and is passionate about helping all men and women find their healthiest self.

 

Michelle is the Recreation Programmer at River Grove Community Centre.  She is a certified Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer along with specialities in Cycle and Yoga and known for her high energy and flair for fun.  She has worked in fitness and recreation for 25+ years and has presented at national fitness conferences and wellness retreats.

 

Jackie is the Recreation Programmer at the Mississauga Senior Centre.  She is a certified Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer along with a speciality in Aquafitness.  Jackie has been working and teaching in the fitness industry for 30+ years and is passionate about including people of all levels of fitness in her classes.

 

Hassan is the Fitness Supervisor at Burnhamthorpe and Frank McKechnie Community Centre.  He is a certified Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer.  He has worked in fitness and recreation for 12+ years and teaches a variety of classes including Kickboxing, Boot Camp, Cardio Pump and is known for his infectious energy.

 

Libby is the Manager of Fitness for the City of Mississauga and has worked in the fitness industry for over 30 years.  She is a certified Fitness Instructor, Personal Trainer and International Presenter/Educator at fitness and wellness conferences.  Libby loves teaching muscle, fusion, cycle and kickboxing and is passionate about combining fun and function with group exercise.

Habib is the Fitness Supervisor at Malton Community Centre.  He is a certified Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer and has been working in the fitness industry for over 10 years. Habib has a passion for strength training and teaches a variety of formats such as Boot Camp, HIIT and Tabata.

 

Paul has worked for the City of Mississauga over 20 years full-time and is presently the Fitness Supervisor at Huron Recreation Center and Paramount Fine Foods Center. Paul is a certified Fitness Instructor, Personal Trainer, Strength & Conditioning Specialist and cycle instructor. Paul teachers part-time in cycle, toning classes and circuit-style classes.

 

Beata is a Certified Fitness and Yoga instructor. Working in the fitness industry for over 20 years. Teaching a broad variety of group fitness classes for all fitness levels, from entry-level fitness enthusiasts to seniors. Passionate about promoting wellness to everyone at any stage of their life. Strong believer in the mindful connection between personal, family, work, and community time as a healthy approach to a fulfilling lifestyle.

 

Teresa Meikle is a Fitness Supervisor at Erin Meadows Community Centre and Churchill Meadows Activity Centre with the City of Mississauga.  She is a certified Fitness Instructor and her classes are known for her upbeat personality and full-body workouts.  She has presented on municipal fitness in the industry and has worked in the fitness and recreation field for 20+ years and in addition, has been a skating instructor with Skate Canada for over 20+ years.

 

Kelly works full time as the Coordinator of Customer Service & Administration at Burnhamthorpe Community Centre.  She is a certified Fitness Instructor who has a passion for making her participants feel empowered no matter what their fitness level.  She has worked in fitness and recreation for 20+ years and teaches total body toning at Clarkson CC and likes to add some dance and spice to her workout when possible.

 

Kimberly has been teaching fitness for more than 30 years and loving every minute of it. Her philosophy on fitness is making classes fun, challenging and full of variety. Starting out teaching hi and low impact followed by step, she has branched to many other areas – leaving some behind. A certified fitness instructor and personal trainer, her passion today lies in short, intense workouts called Tabata or HIIT training.
