These programs are offered at our indoor and outdoor pools, and taught by certified instructors with specialized training for different ages and level of abilities.

Various class and activity drop in schedules with pay-as-you-go options are available at your local community centre.

Programs

Here’s a look at some of the types of programs you can find at our locations:

Swimming Lessons

These classes are for all ages and levels of ability. They include practice in technique, stroke development and endurance.

Water Exercise

Programs like Aquafitness, Aqua Cycle and Water Running help improve stamina, endurance and muscle strength while reducing stress on joints. All classes include options to work out at your own level.

Swim Training

Programs like Spring Board Diving, Lifesaving Sport and Citi Swim and personal training help improve physical fitness, stamina and strength.

Leadership and First Aid

These programs include first aid and lifeguard training designed to develop skills in lifesaving techniques, teamwork and leadership. To see how the program is structured view the LSS Leadership Progress Chart.

Therapeutic Exercise

Warm water activities for those recovering from an injury, living with a chronic condition or need gentle, effective exercise.

Recreational Swimming

Unstructured recreational swimming for all ages. These include Lane and Leisure, Fun, Family, Parent and Tot Swims.
