Leaders in training

Developing leadership skills for youth interested in working in the field of recreation. This program provides training in the following: leadership and programming of children’s activities, inclusion, promoting positive behaviour, communication skills, and instructional techniques for leading arts, crafts and games.

Level 1 consists of 3 days of in-class training followed by 1 week of full day (8 hrs) in-camp placement.

Level 2 consists of 5 days of in-class training followed by 2 weeks of full day (8 hrs) in-camp placement.

PHCD Principles of Healthy Child Development is a prerequisite.

Volunteer

Together with the staff team, assist in the operation, delivery and supervision of various types of  programs, camps and experiences while helping to maintain a safe, friendly and fun environment for all participants.

Volunteers must be at least 14 + years old.

HIGH FIVE ® Principles of Healthy Child Development (PHCD) is highly recommended.
