Getting on and off the bus

Please limit travel to essential trips only due to COVID-19. Fare collection and front door boarding have resumed and wearing non-medical masks or face coverings is mandatory. *Exceptions apply

Here’s how to use the bus in Mississauga:

 

1. Find your route

Find which bus route you need and check the nearest stop and scheduled departure times using the trip planner.

 

2. Get to your stop

Be at your stop five minutes before your bus is scheduled to leave.

a) Wait in line to board the bus.

b) Please be courteous and practice physical distancing at stops and terminals.

 

3. Board the bus

When boarding, you must wear a non-medical mask or face covering. *Children under the age of two, and people with disabilities or other medical conditions that prevent them from wearing any mask will not be required to wear one. 4. Pay your fare

Pay your fare when you board the bus. Avoid handling cash, tickets or transfers – use PRESTO as a contactless way to pay.

 

5. On the bus

Signs indicate which seats are available for customers. If you’re standing on the bus, make sure you’re behind the yellow line and hold onto the hand rails.

 

6. Request your stop

Pull the cord or push the button to request a stop.

 

7. Exit the bus

Make sure you have all your belongings with you before you exit the bus. When you are getting off the bus, exit through the doors at the back of the bus.

 

8. Wash your hands

After riding be sure to wash your hands or use hand sanitizer.
