About MiWay

MiWay is committed to providing customer-driven, high quality public transit services that are safe, reliable, clean and cost effective. As Ontario’s third largest municipal public transit system, MiWay has more than 950 Transit Operators, 500 fully accessible buses, 80 bus routes and 3,400 bus stops across the City.

Our vision

By 2027, MiWay will provide a trusted customer experience for 50 million annual revenue rides as part of the City’s integrated urban mobility network by:

  • Listening to our customers, staff, partners and stakeholders
  • Working together as a team
  • Leveraging data and technology

In doing so, we will achieve a revenue to cost ratio of 52 percent.

MiWay service will be impacted by construction of the new Kipling Bus Terminal.

Transit and climate change

In an effort to adapt to climate change, the MiWay fleet now features ten second-generation hybrid-electric buses. These buses are more fuel efficient and contain features that help to reduce maintenance costs and greenhouse gas emissions.
