Exam proctoring

You can book an appointment at some Mississauga Library locations to write proctored exams for distance education, online courses, or professional certifications.

Not available on Saturdays and Sundays.

At least four weeks prior to your exam, email support.library@mississauga.ca to book your appointment. In your email include:

  • Date, time and length of your exam (3 hour limit). Exams must be written no earlier than a half hour after opening and completed a half hour before closing time.
  • Any specific space, supervision or equipment requirements
  • At this time only a few locations offer proctoring and those locations will be notified with the request.

Please note that due to staffing and space limitations we cannot ensure that students taking an exam are monitored and cannot guarantee a silent space for the examination. If you require a library computer to take your exam, please let us know ahead of time.

If you are looking to complete an online citizenship test a proctor is not required. If you need access to a computer with a camera and microphone for your test, you can borrow a circulating Chromebook using your library card.

Fees

You can book an appointment for up to three hours. An exam proctoring appointment costs $50 plus tax.

On the day of your exam, please bring your payment and photo ID. You can pay by cash, but credit or debit are preferred.
