Exam proctoring

Exam proctoring is offered exclusively at the Hazel McCallion Central Library. You may book an appointment to write a proctored exam for distance education, online courses, or professional certifications.

If you are looking to write an online citizenship test, a proctor is not required.

Exam proctoring is not available on Saturdays and Sundays.

To request an exam proctoring appointment, fill out the Exam Proctoring Request Form below.

Exam proctoring requests must be received at least four weeks prior to your exam. Proctoring for specific dates may be requested, but availability is not guaranteed. Alternative dates and times will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

If an institution is scheduling or requesting to pay for an exam proctoring appointment on behalf of a student or group of students, they should email support.library@mississauga.ca for further arrangements.

Please note:

  • An exam proctoring appointment may be scheduled for a maximum of three hours.
  • Due to staffing and space limitations we cannot guarantee a silent space, nor that students are monitored for the entire duration of the exam.
  • If a library laptop equipped with a camera and microphone is required, this should be noted in the additional information section of the exam proctoring request form below.
  • VPN access is not possible from the library network, and cannot be supported on library or customer-supplied computers.

Students are responsible for:

  • Ensuring all required documents have been provided to the proctor before the exam proctoring appointment.
  • Arriving 30 minutes prior to exam proctoring appointment.
  • Presenting valid photo ID and providing payment prior to the start of the exam.

Fees

An exam proctoring appointment costs $50 plus tax.
