MiWay Streamlines Some Routes, Allowing for Better Connectivity and Added Trips

City services | October 21, 2019

On Monday, October 28, 2019, MiWay will revise some routes and schedules to provide more streamlined routing, added frequency, more service hours, and better connectivity throughout the network as part of the MiWay Five Transit Service Plan.

Routing changes include:

Route Service Improvements
Route 101 Dundas Express New Sunday service between 9:40 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. with a 20-minute service frequency. Saturday service frequency will be improved from 20 minutes to every 15 minutes between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m.
Route 38 Creditview

Route 38 Creditview (Monday-Friday) and Route 38A Creditview-Argentia (Saturday-Sunday) will be streamlined to improve travel times with improved off-peak and weekend service frequencies.

Both routes will be simplified by removing service from Bancroft Drive, Silken Laumann Way and Britannia Road West, providing a streamlined service along Creditview Road while reducing service duplication with Route 39 Britannia.

Customers on Bancroft Drive can use the restructured and extended Route 68 Terry Fox for a direct trip to Square One (City Centre Transit Terminal), or the existing Route 37 Erindale GO for a connection to the Erindale GO Station.

Route 68 Terry Fox (new route name)

Route 68 Windsor Hill will be renamed to Route 68 Terry Fox, and rerouted and extended along Terry Fox Drive to service Bancroft Drive and Silken Laumann Way (previously serviced by Route 38/38A).

This routing change provides a direct connection to Square One (City Centre Transit Terminal) and improved service frequency on weekdays and Saturdays, along with a new Sunday service.

Customers on Windsor Hill Boulevard, Lismic Boulevard, and Bristol Road (previously serviced by Route 68) can use the Route 10 Bristol-Britannia for a direct trip to Square One (City Centre Transit Terminal).

Rick Hansen Secondary School Service A morning trip on Route 315 Rick Hansen-City Centre will be added to maintain a direct connection for Rick Hansen students to the City Centre Transit Terminal.
