Mississauga Businesses Give Back During COVID-19 Pandemic

Mississauga businesses are shifting their operations and contributing to the fight against COVID-19.
“I am so proud of our business community. So many Mississauga businesses are stepping up, lending a helping hand and giving back during these challenging times,” said Mayor Bonnie Crombie. “It is truly inspiring to see Mississauga businesses adapt to help support the fight against COVID-19. We’re so proud to have such a caring business community in our City. I know it’s been a challenging time, but by working together, we will emerge stronger than ever before.”
Below are just some of the actions taken by Mississauga businesses:
- Donating and developing personal protective equipment
- Donating money to local community groups including food banks
- Providing medicines free of charge to Canadian patients
- Giving out free flowers
- Contributing to the development of new and improved methods for COVID-19 detection
- Donating 1,000 computers to help students and families
- Leveraging manufacturing capabilities and in-house materials to produce hospital grade sanitizer
