Go On a “Blind Date with a Book” as Mississauga Library Shares the Love in February

Entertainment and activities | January 30, 2020

Have you ever taken a book home without knowing the title? It’s time to take a chance on love at Mississauga Library with “Blind Date with a Book” and other “Love, Your Library” events and activities taking place in February.

The library invites customers to choose a book based only on a brief description, check it out, unwrap it and meet their (book) date. Each book comes with a “Rate the Date” card to fill out and return with the book.

Visitors can also write and hand deliver valentines to their favourite libraries. Valentine cards will be available at all locations throughout February.

“February is Customer Appreciation Month – a great time for all of us to show love for our libraries,” said Lori Kelly, Director, Mississauga Library. “We encourage everyone to visit their favourite location and take part in activities and events planned for all ages. If you haven’t been to our libraries in a while, this is a perfect time to come and fall in love with the library.”

Check out the library’s program guide for activities and programs happening this month.
