City Council has deferred property tax payments by 90 days to ease the economic impact of COVID-19.
Interim property tax payments
Interim property tax due dates in April, May and June 2020 are deferred to July, August and September 2020. Notices were distributed to taxpayers at the end of March 2020.

Final property tax payments
The City of Mississauga made the decision to defer final tax payments for 90 days and stop late payment charges and fees related to tax payments. This will help provide further financial assistance to families and businesses and ease financial pressures as a result of the impacts of COVID-19.
Below is an overview of what this means for you depending on which method you use to pay your taxes.
Regular instalment payments
Final tax payments have been deferred by 90 days for taxpayers currently paying by instalments. The new payment schedule for final tax instalments will be October 1, November 5 and December 3, 2020.
Monthly pre-authorized payments – interim payments were deferred
For taxpayers who had their monthly interim tax withdrawals deferred, the new payment schedule for final tax payments will be made in three equal withdrawals one in October, one in November and one in December.
Monthly pre-authorized payments – payments continued
Taxpayers who continued to make regular monthly payments for their interim taxes will continue with monthly withdrawals on their normal schedule. Final tax payment withdrawals will occur in July, August, September, October, November and December, 2020.
